Fenty match stix2/1/2024 Linen doesn’t appear to be an exact match for any of these, but I feel like it’s closest to the Sephora or that Shape Tape in Light? In terms of formula, it probably matches the MAC one the most because they’re both dryer/more of a paste and less liquidy than the tube concealers. I never realized how peachy orange that NYX one is…but it’s also a little old so perhaps it’s gone bad by now. (a very old) MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer in NW15.Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Fair Beige.Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in Parfait. ![]() Here’s what Linen looked like next to some of my other concealers: I wanted to swatch them all next to some similar products – Linen with some concealers, Amber with some contour products, and Starstruck with some highlighters. Or, at least long enough for me to feel that I got my money’s worth. It doesn’t really look like a lot, does it? At first I was a bit miffed that I had paid like $4.50 for each gram of product, but that was before I had used it – a little bit really does go a long way, and I feel these will last me a decent amount of time. Here’s what they look like all swatched together on me:Įach stick is 0.25g of product – here’s what that looks like: However I found that if applied carefully with a light hand it looked just fine. ![]() It applies smoothly as well but this one does have flecks of glitter so it can emphasize texture a bit if you have any. It’s a cool toned pink highlight that’s sparkly but subtle, and you can build it up to be more glittery and bold. The last shade is Starstruck, the shimmery stick of the set. It has cool undertones and is even slightly grey – it’s a pretty much perfect shade for contouring on pale skin like mine! Like Linen, this one blends out really nicely. It’s described as “fair to light cool pinky undertones” but imo it’s actually more yellow than that.Īmber is a second matte shade, this time for contouring. Anyway – let’s take a look at the shades. They also make a nice aesthetically pleasing honeycomb shape.Īnd speaking of aesthetically pleasing – how great is this minimal millennial pink packaging? I love it. It’s a neat feature that keeps them from getting jumbled around in my makeup bag and I imagine it would be great for travel too. Something really cool about these is that the stix are actually magnetic so they snap together. The shades included in this set are Linen, Amber, and Starstruck. I haven’t done that yet but want to in the future!Īnyway, like I said I bought one of the trios from Sephora – the one I got is Light 100. Sephora sells some pre-made sets for different skin tones, but on the Fenty website you can actually customize your own set of 3. You can buy them individually for $25 each or in that set of three for $54, which actually saves you quite a bit of money so that’s cool. They come in two varieties like I mentioned ( matte and shimmer) and each come in a huge variety of colors. These are a creamy stick of color that can be used for concealing, contouring, and highlighting. The only purchase I have made from the line so far has been this trio of matte and shimmer color sticks, aka Match Stix: I fell in love immediately with basically all of it, but due to the fact that makeup costs money, I haven’t been able to get my hands on all of it quite yet. Pretty much every item is now on my Sephora wishlist. In addition to the huge range of foundations, Rihanna also released a number of highlighters, a blotting powder, a lip gloss, and several brushes. Welllll the screenshot above speaks for itself, and it’s been insanely popular. I (like everyone else) was intrigued to see what the line offered. Most people were super excited that the brand was debuting with an unheard of 40 foundation shades – 3/4 of which are sold out at Sephora right now: It’s taken over the front page of Sephora! Fenty Beauty is the makeup brand created by Rihanna, and the makeup world has been all abuzz about it since the line was announced. ![]() If you’re into makeup like I am, you probably are aware of the major release that happened last month in the form of Fenty Beauty:

Sookasa off line access2/1/2024 The state bar ethics committees that have taken up the issue of cloud computing have certainly been cautious. Although all 19 committees that have issued formal opinions on cloud computing have given the green light, they have done so with, in some cases, a laundry list of qualifications. Nerino Petro, chief information officer atHolmstrom & Kennedy in Illinois, and a lecturer on data security for the American Bar Association, thinks that while there are legitimate risks, the legal community is, at times, unjustifiably afraid of the cloud. “Attorneys have this innate fear of cloud,” Petro said, “but it isn’t justifiable anymore. The ethics opinion issued by the Pennsylvania State Bar, for example, includes no less than 33 factors for deciding whether an attorney’s use of the cloud meets ethical standards. The opinion suggests implementing basic security measures, like encrypting and backing up data, but also requires an attorney to negotiate favorable terms of service with a cloud provider.ĭaniel Siegel, the principal author of the Pennsylvania opinion, acknowledged that firms don’t always have leverage to negotiate terms of use with cloud service provider, but rejected the notion that the ethical requirements were too onerous, or that requirements like these show an undue nervousness. “While the cloud is in many ways safer than it used to be, you still need to take appropriate measures,” Siegel said. Otherwise, you don’t have to use the cloud.” “Data encryption, strong passwords-these are reasonable requirements for storing client data in the cloud. Merri Baldwin, vice-chair of the California State Bar’s ethics committee, agreed with Siegel. “Attorney fears aren’t overblown,” Baldwin said. We’re talking about protecting the confidentiality of a client’s information.”īut if you ask Petro, cloud security comes down to only two things: multi-factor authentication and retention of the encryption key that allows access to encrypted files. “Who’s going do a better job of securing your data? A small firm, or somebody like Google or Dropbox who’s doing business with major companies? The reality is, from a security perspective, they’ll do a better job than most firms can afford to do.” Petro said that although it’s standard practice for a lot of cloud providers to keep the encryption key, there are likewise a number of services, like Spideroak and Sookasa, that can provide the user with such a key. Indeed, a 2013 study found no indication that longer lifespans, better behavior or other desirable characteristics make a dog breed more sought-after. Whitley argues that breeds’ popularity depends less on their traits than on their portrayal in media and pop culture. “Just like humans, dogs get characterized for what they can do, but more importantly what they can symbolize,” says Cameron Whitley, a Western Washington University sociology professor and the chair-elect of the American Sociological Association’s Animals and Society section. If all that says something about these stumpy-snouted, pointy-eared, deep-chested, quizzical little bulldogs, what does it say about the culture that loves them? Their media image impacts their popularity It also has been dogged by concerns about their health, debate over the ethics of breeding, denunciations of a gold-rush-like market with ever more “exotic” variations, and a recent spate of high-profile and sometimes fatal robberies.
